What Happened? Ivana Ristic denied me bank services at theUniversity Credit Union branch in West Jordan,Utah on Saturday, 14th of June, 2014.How So? She would not allow me to cash the $45.00 chequegiven to me by someone who has an account atUniversity Credit Union. She declined to issue her approval signature butsaid the state-issued Utah Privilege Card is not avalid ID document and it stated so on the card.My Conversation with Ivana RisticDo you have it anywhere in writing that you should deny me service. I would like a copy of yourpolicy regarding denying me services: “Yes. It is our policy to deny services to people with Privilege Cards” I asked her if I could read from the document inwhich she was reading. “No. You can't read it. It is our policy.” I explained to her that a University Credit Union on 2700S offered me services using the samePrivilege Card I was presenting to her.“You can go to that same branch when they openthe lobby on Monday.” I asked her if the University Credit Union is run by federal or Utah state laws. “It says right there on it that it is invalid for identification. I will not put my signature on anything. You can go to the branch on 2700S on Monday. We cannot help you here.”How Does One Obtain a Utah Privilege Card(You should go to the DMV site to double-check and see if I missed or added anything)1. Submit to a Criminal Background Check. Submitfingerprints and birth certificate to the BCIoffice that does the screening. I believe it costs$45 for the screening.2. Submit sealed results of the screening to DMV. If you have been cleared in stage 1, you will beasked to provide proof of address, 2 IDs/Social Security Card/ITN (tax identification)or somethinglike that.3. In my case I submitted my birth certificate,SSN, proof of address an required IDs
