WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID ABOUT UNIVERSITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION STAFF SERVICES
1. "You are right. She does not have an answer and she was foolish to say
something she could not defend!"
2. "Becky doesn't have a answer for 2 because there isn't a different process
its just a way for Utah to discriminate."
UTAH BANKS/CREDIT UNIONS THAT ACCEPT UTAH PRIVILEGE DRIVING CARD AS VALID ID
1. Zions Bank
2. America First Credit Union
One bank/credit union gave me this list to show all forms of ID they accept and it was not a secret! News! Haha. As you will see, the list makes accommodation for individuals in varied ID circumstances. This is inclusive and commendable. Click the picture to enlarge.
The University Federal Credit Union in Utah can learn from this on how to serve everyone regardless of national origin or race.
OTHER PLACES THAT ACCEPT UTAH PRIVILEGE CARD AS VALID ID

Beckie,
I asked you a question based on your email.
The question I asked has to do with "2", not "1".
You state: "2. This type of identification does not go through the
same process as other state identification(s) do."
What is it in this type of ID process that is different form the others?

Victoria,
After talking to the Division of Motor Vehicles with the State of Utah, the Utah Driving Privilege card is provided to undocumented immigrants who cannot provide documentation to prove they are here legally. This is why the statement "NOT VALID FOR IDENTICATION" has been placed on the card and should NOT be used for identification purposes.

Beckie,
Let's talk about the email that YOU, not the DMV sent to me.
At # 2, you said:
"2. This type of identification does not go through the same process
as other state identification(s) do."
What is it in this type of ID process that is different from the others?
You are refusing to respond to this question based on your email. This
is the 3rd (Third) time I ask this same question based on what you said. I am not talking about anything else or anyone else, I am talking about what you said.
In US Federal offices this privilege card is accepted as valid ID and
it has never been denied in government and legal transactions. It is
also accepted in some banks in Utah.
I am asking for clarification from you on the statement you made.
Let's stick to the issue: You said the privilege card process is
different and based on what you, Beckie said to me in an email, I am
asking what is different about the process. This seems to me like a
straightforward question on a statement made by you.
Surely it would not take this long for you to respond this question
standing in line at the bank.....

Victoria,
We have adequately answered your questions in regards to the incident that occurred at our West Jordan branch. We have explained that our branch on 2700 S made an error and violated our policy on what is the appropriate identification when they provided services to you. Our West Jordan branch was following policy when they declined to process your transaction after inadequate identification was provided.
Our policies are in place to help protect our membership. Again we are sorry for the inconsistency between the branches, but this has been addressed with them.
In addition, I have explained that the Division of Motor Vehicles responded to us that the requirements are different when providing information for a Utah Driver Privilege Card than other identification cards. If you want specific information on the process the various identification cards go through, you will need speak with the DMV directly.

A Utah University Credit Union Branch Joins the Racist/Discriminatory Ranks of Utah DMV
What Happened? Ivana Ristic denied me bank services at the
University Credit Union branch in West Jordan,
Utah on Saturday, 14th of June, 2014.
How So? She would not allow me to cash the $45.00 cheque
given to me by someone who has an account at
University Credit Union.
She declined to issue her approval signature but
said the state-issued Utah Privilege Card is not avalid ID document and it stated so on the card.
My Conversation with Ivana Ristic
Do you have it anywhere in writing that you should deny me service. I would like a copy of your
policy regarding denying me services: “Yes. It is our policy to deny services to people with Privilege Cards” I asked her if I could read from the document in
which she was reading. “No. You can't read it. It is our policy.” I explained to her that a University Credit Union on 2700S offered me services using the same
Privilege Card I was presenting to her.
“You can go to that same branch when they open
the lobby on Monday.” I asked her if the University Credit Union is run by federal or Utah state laws. “It says right there on it that it is invalid for identification. I will not put my signature on anything. You can go to the branch on 2700S on Monday. We cannot help you here.”
How Does One Obtain a Utah Privilege Card
(You should go to the DMV site to double-check and see if I missed or added anything)
1. Submit to a Criminal Background Check. Submit
fingerprints and birth certificate to the BCI
office that does the screening. I believe it costs
$45 for the screening.
2. Submit sealed results of the screening to DMV. If you have been cleared in stage 1, you will be
asked to provide proof of address, 2 IDs/Social Security Card/ITN (tax identification)or something
like that.
3. In my case I submitted my birth certificate,
SSN, proof of address an required IDs
